We recently had the pleasure of hosting an externship program in partnership with Central Contra Costa Sanitary District, providing the next generation of water industry professionals a unique opportunity to explore potential career pathways. During the event, participants were given a comprehensive tour of our water treatment plant in Concord, engaging with key staff to learn more about the diverse roles and opportunities available in the water sector. It’s always rewarding to connect with passionate individuals eager to make a difference in our industry, and we’re grateful to our partners for making this program a success. At CCWD, we believe in making a difference—not just in our work, but in the communities we call home. Recently, several employees volunteered their time at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, helping to sort and package various fruits and vegetables in preparation for distribution to families in need.
