Want to help shape safer journeys for students in Contra Costa County? The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) is seeking proposals for the Countywide Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Project. This initiative aims to enhance the safety of walking and biking routes for students across Central County, East County, and the "Lamorinda" communities of Lafayette, Orinda, and Moraga. Consultants will be engaged to design preferred routes and implement a four-year educational program (2025-2029) focused on promoting safety and awareness for students and families. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community by helping ensure students have safe and accessible ways to travel to school. We just extended the deadline to apply for this RFP by December 12.
