It has been a minute since we have had a job site cookout. Last week we broke bread and thanked our crew working on the Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits new warehouse in the midlands. New gear delivered this week to one of our industrial projects. Thank you to Blanchard Machinery and Brian Smith for getting this together quickly. We love the speed and power of the new Cat Construction 352 as well as all the onboard technology. It is amazing the evolution of construction equipment over the past 20 years. A/C with a cab was an option and now they come with grade control, scales, (4) cameras and loads of creature comforts. We’ve always been a Caterpillar Inc. fan, but the support from the dealership network makes it an easy decision. #contourprojects #industrialconstruction #letsdothework

Our team is wrapping up these economic development building pads for Lexington County. This challenging project including the over excavation and replacement of nearly 30,000 Cy from a mitigated wetland. Additionally, we wrapped up a 1,200’ stream diversion to convey water from the SCDOT ROW, around the site. This scope included over excavation, extensive dewatering, concrete CIP anti-seep collars and a rip rap lined channel. A big thank you to our team for completing this challenging project. Continuing with the highlights of our leadership team, we are celebrating Donna H., HR Manager. Donna joined our team almost 3 years ago as our office manager. Since then, she has been promoted to our HR Manager. Her in depth knowledge of HR regulations has transformed our employee experience. Additionally she manages all office functions from the administrative side. Donna has been working in Office Management since 2007. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a SHRM-CP certificate from Midlands Technical College. She brings fifteen years of education and experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, managing and overseeing the administration of HR policies and programs, and maintaining accounts payable, receivables and general ledger accounts. During her downtime; Donna enjoys camping, fishing and hunting with her husband, Josh, and her son, Collin. She has been the Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 428 since 2019 and enjoys sharing her love of the outdoors with the children. Andrew has over 30 years of experience as a CPA in finance and accounting within a variety of industries including transportation technologies, aircraft manufacturing, retail companies, and public accounting. As a seasoned, hands-on leader, Andrew has driven business and start-up strategies, system and process implementations, and built high-performance teams, partnering with all levels within organizations to maximize profitability. Big projects call for big storm drainage pipe. Our crews have been installing over 2,700’ of 72” reinforced concrete pipe, supplied by Rinker Materials / Pinnacle Precast. With depths over 20’ deep, we pre-benched the lines using 657 scrapers, and we are utilizing our Cat Construction 374F excavator to lay the pipe. The junction boxes for this line weigh in excess of 44,000 lbs. We have the experience and large gear required for these complex industrial projects. We are HIRING pipe crews!
