In 2024, over 8,500 people had a hands-on experience at BAGI by attending a class or corporate event. In his time away from music, Ben has relied on painting as his career and creative outlet. He founded his sign painting and design company, @brush.house, in 2017 to catch the overwhelming influx of projects he and his team were commissioned for. Now, Ben is back in the San Jose Music Scene and was awarded a San Jose Jazz Jazz Aid Fund grant to create a new body of musical work that will be showcased during New Works Fest at the SJZ Break Room on Friday, March 14. “I’m going to be still performing whenever I want, whenever I can, and have fun with it, and be relentlessly creative and experimental with it because I can and because I should.”?-Benjamin Henderson.
