What are you waiting for? Jump! Many years ago, I stood on the edge of a crane, harnessed up, staring at a giant blow-up mat with the outline of a "dead body" printed on it below me. Hundreds of tiny heads looked up from the crowd, waiting for me to leap. On the count of three, the guy running the crane urged me to jump. And I didn’t. Terrified, I walked away until my friend reminded me of something critical, "Gina, it’s your choice—you don’t have to jump." That changed everything. Knowing I had the power to decide gave me the courage I needed. Moments later, I swan-dived off that platform, feeling terrified and free all at once. And that freedom? Life-changing. Since then, I’ve found myself standing on metaphorical "cranes" countless times—faced with decisions like leaving a stable job to start my own business, walking away from toxic relationships, and navigating life’s "big somethings."
