The Consulate of Israel in San Francisco, JIMENA: Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa and Congregation Beth Sholom hosted an evening honoring the Day to Mark the Departure and Expulsion of Jews from the Arab Countries and Iran. The event, which included a live music performance, was opened by Rabbi Amanda Russell and Deputy Consul General Maya Avishai and followed by a powerful discussion between Fleur Hassan-Nahoum and JIMENA Executive Director Sarah Levin.
