The first concrete pour for the Lockwood Senior Center took place today and CME was onsite ensuring everything was to spec. This project includes demolition of the existing senior center and construction of a 8,500 SF center with many improved features such as a commercial kitchen and an early childhood education space. This summer the Northstar Community Service District (NCSD) repaved Northstar Drive, as well as the community dumpster site access road, performed patching on Big Springs Drive, and repaved the NCSD Tank D site. This project also included placement of over 200 feet of a utility bank consisting of pre-insulated pipe for a future wood energy facility. CME has been providing construction administration, inspection and materials testing on this project. CME is busy throughout Northern Nevada and this photo from south Reno captures three projects in one snapshot! At the bottom of the photo you can see the Washoe County South Truckee Meadows Steamboat Lift Station Project where CME is providing IBC Special Inspection, construction inspection, materials sampling and laboratory testing services. In the mid-distance is the Washoe County South Truckee Meadows Water Resource Facility (STMWRF) Expansion and since November 2020 CME has been consistently providing full-time observation, construction inspection, materials sampling and laboratory testing services. This future gas line in Lockwood required rock core drilling to support the design of a horizontal directional drilling pipeline crossline.
