Consider balanced systems like ERVs/HRVs! ✅ Filtration– Use high-MERV filters to remove airborne particles and allergens. ✅ Humidity Control– Keep relative humidity between 30-50% to prevent mold growth and respiratory discomfort. ✅ Air Sealing– Reduce leaks to prevent pollutants from entering and ensure controlled ventilation for healthier indoor air. BAU 2025 Recap! BAU (Building Architecture & Systems) is one of the leading international trade fairs for the construction industry, and this year’s event took place in Munich, Germany, from January 13th-17th. Mark LaLiberte had the opportunity to attend BAU 2025, and he walked away with some incredible insights. He shared: "The show was an impressive blend of companies at the forefront of innovation, new technologies, and top-tier craftsmanship. It’s clear that many are already 5-10 years ahead in their focus on performance, health, and safety. The emphasis on engineering and quality was exceptional. Triple glazing or better was the standard for windows, exterior insulation is now a given, and HVAC with integrated ventilation is always considered in the design phase." Mark has included some photos showcasing windows and building science examples of high-performance systems that caught his attention.
