This month, CEA Director of Member Engagement Jackie Ruhlin sat down with Linda Fletcher (CEO), Keith Rogers (Executive VP) and Bruce C. Jones Jr. ???? (VP of Operations) from Cook Paving & Construction Co., Inc. to learn a little more about their business and to talk about what CEA has coming up and other ways to further engage with Cook. In business since the 1930s, Cook started off hauling coal, ice, and salt for various customers and eventually became the first MBE certified company to win a prime construction contract with ODOT. Since then, they have grown and now specialize in underground utilities, site development, concrete flatwork, asphalt paving & concrete paving. Active in the local Cleveland community, Cook’s mission and consistent customer relationships are built on Safety, Service, and Integrity. Last night, over 35 members from the CEA Future Executive Committee, Contractor’s Assistance Association and Associated General Contractors of America Cleveland attended an educational session at Market Garden Brewery in Cleveland, Ohio. The session was on Leadership Transition & Succession Planning, led by Pam Neckar with Impact Project Development, LLC and was followed by networking with different committee members. Last week CEA Director of Member Engagement, Jackie Ruhlin, sat down with Armando Francisco with Lake Erie Electric to learn a little more about their business and discuss ways to engage more with CEA. Founded in 1952, Lake Erie Electric has been a leader in electrical construction with offices throughout Ohio and into Michigan. They perform a wide range of electrical work both big and small on many different markets including commercial, healthcare, industrial, automotive facilities and model changeovers, steel industry, manufacturing facilities, independent power plants, data centers, educational and public facilities. Lake Erie Electric can also provide assistance in pre-construction, electrical design, BIM, preventative maintenance and have dedicated service fleets available.
