We are thrilled to share that our Electrical Contracting Innovation Challenge Team from 2024 presented their proposal at the NECA National Convention in San Diego this weekend. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate and for the unwavering support from everyone at ELECTRI, our NECA contractors, and the Wisconsin NECA chapter. We are proud to announce that we secured first place in our second competition! Additionally, we received several honors, including NECA Student Chapter of the Year and the award for “Most Detailed BIM Model.” We would like to say Thank You to EVERYONE who contributed to our success especially the Westphal & Company, Inc. team. On behalf of WiscElectric, thank you again and on Wisconsin!

Huge thank you to Findorff and Pieper Electric, Inc. for the UW-Madison CDIS site tour this week! Our NECA ECIC Team has been busy and was so excited to end the semester with a site tour of an amazing project close to home! The Team learned about the electrical prefabrication and coordination efforts that were needed early on, and how that ties into other trades. Several students from our NECA ECIC Student Team also participated in a tour of the new UW Vet Med Building on campus, as part of the Electrical Systems course. The tour was led by Affiliated Engineers, Inc. and the electrical contractor on-site, Van Ert Electric Company, Inc. (Electrical Contractor, Telecommunications, HVAC, Arc Flash). Our NECA ECIC Student Team traveled to Montgomery, IL to The Boldt Company's prefabrication shop last week! The team got a chance to learn about innovative ways that prefab is helping improve project productivity with multi-trade coordination!
