Uplifting individuals and families in the communities we serve is simply core to who we are. Volunteers from our Commercial team recently joined forces with The IMAGE Center of Maryland and VME Bike Clinic to build custom bicycles for children with special needs. Best of all, one of the recipients was in attendance to receive her new bike. Congratulations to Peyton and all the children who now have the opportunity to ride bikes independently for the first time!

OpenAI’s recently released “blueprint for U.S. AI infrastructure” is further proof positive of the fact that you simply cannot run a full-time economy on part-time power. Investing in — and reliably powering — data centers and artificial intelligence is imperative to both maintain America’s competitive edge and preserve our national security. Frankly, it’s a race we must win. OpenAI’s plan leans heavily into the unmatched value of nuclear by supporting restarts of shutdown reactors, as well as leveraging the U.S. Navy’s nuclear power expertise to revive the nuclear ecosystem and build more small modular reactors (SMRs). Chris Lehane, OpenAI’s head of global policy, estimates that the U.S. will need 50 gigawatts of energy by 2030 to support the AI industry’s needs and to compete against China, which approved 20 nuclear reactors over the past two years. ? “We don’t have a choice,” Lehane said. “We do have to compete with that.” He’s right, and the U.S. nuclear industry has the ability to preserve the basic freedoms of this country. This is not hyperbole. The Constellation team continues to stand ready to do our part to support a modernized grid in which nuclear plays an essential role in cementing our nation’s leadership, economic growth and security on a global stage.?

“By January 2024, Dominguez was ready to shop Three Mile Island to a few corporate clients. Competition for nuclear assets was starting to heat up. Microsoft was clear: It wanted first dibs. Noelle Walsh, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of cloud operations and innovation, said the deal made sense because it would bring a large amount of reliable, carbon-free power to market more quickly and cheaply than other options.” The most valuable commodity in the world today is energy that is both clean and always on, 24/7, regardless of weather.
