?? What obstacles do students face when accessing higher education in Colombia? At ConsiliumBots, we believe that accurate and personalized information can transform lives. Over 2 million students have already interacted with ICFES-Bot, our AI-powered educational guidance tool, developed in collaboration with ICFES and leading researchers. It has helped: ?? Increase the likelihood of university access by +1 percentage point. ?? Improve educational loan approval rates by 30%. ?? Enhance students' understanding of education costs and returns. This year, we took a step further. In partnership with ICFES, we surveyed 190,000 high-school graduates to uncover their main challenges. ?? Key Findings: - Indecision about what to study: 50% lack vocational guidance. - Financing challenges: 51% find it hard to access information about scholarships and aid. - Awareness gap: Only 4% of students know about the "Puedo Estudiar" free education policy, despite financing being their top obstacle. ?? What’s next? We’re expanding our tools. In collaboration with OpenAI, we will take this technology to new countries and contexts in 2024, empowering even more students to overcome information gaps and unlock their educational potential. ?? Join us in reshaping the future of education—one student at a time. Check out main results here ??

?? Mapping 7,730 preschools across three cities in LATAM, we uncover critical gaps in access to early childhood education. Our groundbreaking effort spans Santiago (Chile), Bogotá (Colombia), and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), where we’ve identified thousands of preschools—many of which were previously unrecorded in public databases. ? 23% of preschools discovered in Santo Domingo were completely new. In Bogotá ? 21% of the preschools found were not in existing public records. ? In Santiago, we mapped over 1,583 preschools, with 36% missing from prior data. ?? Why does this matter? Early childhood education lays the foundation for lifelong learning. By identifying these critical gaps, we aim to address barriers families face in accessing quality education for their children. ?? This initiative is powered by research excellence and global partnerships with Yale University and J-PAL, ensuring rigorous data collection and analysis that drives meaningful impact. This is just the beginning. As we process more data and expand our efforts, we are committed to reshaping early childhood education in Latin America. ??

?? What drives impactful research? Collaboration, commitment, and a shared mission to solve real-world challenges. At ConsiliumBots, we are proud to partner with outstanding researchers who are making a tangible difference in public policy and academic research. We’re thrilled to share this testimony from Tomas Larroucau, who has been a research affiliate with us for over six years: "I have worked with ConsiliumBots for over six years on multiple projects, and the role it has played in advancing my academic career has been fundamental. ConsiliumBots provides researchers who aim to design, evaluate, and implement public policies at scale with the technical support and expertise of a highly skilled and motivated team. Together with ConsiliumBots, Ignacio Rios, Ana?s Fabre, Christopher Neilson, and I were able to design, test, and implement a large-scale public policy aimed at reducing the information frictions students face during their application to university programs. This process took nearly six years, during which we were able to deliver valuable public policy insights to policymakers, improve the placement of thousands of students in higher education, and disseminate our research results through prominent academic publications (https://lnkd.in/eeXDe325). Given the positive academic and policy outcomes of our experience with ConsiliumBots, we embarked on a new project with Ignacio Ríos, Javiera Gazmuri Villagra, and Christopher Neilson, this time to improve sibling placement in the school selection process. ConsiliumBots has supported us in every area of this project, from the design and implementation of surveys and information policies to data analysis and strategic communication with policymakers. Our collaboration with ConsiliumBots generates synergies that enable us, as a research team, to carry out ambitious projects with significant academic rigor and substantial public policy impact." ?? We are grateful for the trust and partnership of exceptional researchers like Tomás. Together, we strive to advance evidence-based policies that have a lasting impact. #PublicPolicy #EdTech #ResearchCollaboration #HigherEducation #InformationFrictions #SiblingPlacement #AcademicImpact #ConsiliumBots
