Most companies overlook one of their most powerful assets: their communications team. Our Head of Communications & Managed Services, Jen M., shares how important communication teams are to company growth. Comms teams are not just managing press releases or internal updates—they’re shaping reputation, mitigating risks, and keeping your company aligned. The bottom line: if your communications team isn’t fully embedded in decision-making, you’re leaving money, influence and trust on the table. https://lnkd.in/g39Yz9Cy #StrategicComms #GrowthEngine #Leadership

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Dani Thibodeau, Vice President of Cultural Strategy at sparks & honey for our Speaker Series, where she talked about taking a culture-first approach—decoding culture, distinguishing it from trends and making the case for deeper meaning over fleeting relevance. Her hot take? Culture isn’t just about keeping up with the trend cycle; it’s about understanding the layers beneath it. As Dani put it, “Making meaning [out of culture] comes down to understanding one thing: cultural relevancy begins with cultural fluency.” #DecodingCulture #TrendIntelligence #CulturalStrategy

Thank you Qru Media Ventures and David Teicher for your partnership. We’re excited for what’s to come.
I want to take a second to thank the amazing people and organizations who showed up to support the Launch of Qru and sponsor the big Qru Debut last week at Cafe Boulud in NYC. In no particular order: 1. Consiglieri I met Michael Miller and Chris Noble at Cannes last year, and shortly after, got to meet Tiffany Holland as well. I knew early on that this was a group of people I wanted to work with: Smart, kind, good, people, doing important and impressive work. If you're not familiar with what they do, you should be. They operate behind the scenes, advising and supporting today's CMO's and senior marketing leaders, setting them up for success by establishing operational efficiencies, strategy, and addressing systemic weak points in the marketing org. I'm thrilled that our partnership extends beyond this event. You'll be hearing a lot from Qru x Consiglieri! 2. Warner Bros. Discovery - US Hispanic: David Tardio was one of the first to sit down with me after I ventured out on my own and offered his insight and support. His group is on fire, having recently launched Max en Espa?ol along with 9 new advertising supported streaming channels! Keep an eye out for more collabs here ;) 3. Scope3 I'm count my blessing every day that the world keeps finding ways for Joey Leichman, one of my best and closest friends since high school, and I to work together. It was a privilege having Joey, along with Adtech Pioneer Brian O'Kelley and Brenda Tuohig join the fun last week. On a mission to decarbonize our digital media footprint, Brian and team are doing incredibly important work. The environment needs all the help it can get these days! 4. CivicScience A relationship born in the DM's of Twitter, it was an honor working with John Dick, Alex DeSanctis, and Doug Lauretano on this one. We're cooking up something extra special for Cannes this year - and much, more more. Stay tuned! 5. Work & Co, Part of Accenture Song Rupal Parekh and Angela Carola have been part of my Qru for so long, going back to my Ad Age days. I'm so grateful for them both. They've taught me so much over the years. Advised me. Guided me. Collaborated with me. Having you, and Mohan Ramaswamy, join me and support the Qru Debut was an honor, and I'm so excited for what's next #MaldivesQru? 6. Quad Speaking of my Ad Age family, Tina Marchisello and Nicole Cohen-Nelson were my work family. It was a pleasure working alongside them then, and I'm so excited to continue that relationship now, having Josh Golden, Heidi Waldusky, and Tim Maleeny representing Quad at the Qru Debut! 7. EssentiallySports The Intersection of Brands & Marketing with Sports & Culture is a major phase one focus for me at Qru, so it was a natural fit having the EssentiallySports team there. But more than that - Vishal Kolar has been part of my Qru for years, and I'm psyched to have Josh Harwell, Harit Pathak and the entire team on board for the ride! THANK YOU ALL! Last week, we had the pleasure of hearing Marc Wilson, PhD talk about upstream inclusion, leaning into cultural nuances, and how brands can achieve cultural resonance as part of our Speaker Series. This series fosters learning, growth, and connection within Consiglieri by bringing in industry experts who align with our values to share valuable insights and strategies with our team. As Marc put it, “The general market does not exist…If you start to silo away multicultural people, you’re missing out on the influence they have on culture.” #LeadershipInsights #ProfessionalDevelopment #FutureFocused
