Opportunity to work with an amazing team!
I am excited to share that The Nature Conservancy is #hiring a Large-Scale Fisheries Manager for the Western and Central Pacific. The manager will play a critical role in cultivating and maintaining the Conservancy as a major conservation partner for large-scale fishery improvements and Electronic Monitoring (EM) within the region, defining conservation priorities and long-term conservation strategies. This is a dynamic position that works across multiple TNC country programs, the global strategy team, and the business functions of operations, finance, communications, policy, and corporate engagement. The ideal candidate values collaboration, leverages systems thinking, and can manage multiple complex work streams. This is a short-term (2-year), full-time and fully remote position and may be extended depending on the needs of the team. ? ?? ?? Please share or apply if this sounds like the right fit for you! ?? ?? Apply by 11:59 PM EST on March 14, 2025 by visiting https://careers.nature.org and searching for Job ##56345.

That's a wrap on #SENA25! Another year of gathering with our community to check in and see what's top of mind. What did we learn this year? Our members want to work together, they want to grow and learn, and they know they need community. https://lnkd.in/dHZJxFRn

It was a full house yesterday at Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America at our session for companies about human rights due diligence (HRDD). Our main takeaways? HRDD isn't going away, addressing it is in the long term best interests of companies, and the important thing for companies to do is: start. Not sure where to begin? The Alliance is here to help. Comment below to learn more. Special thanks to all our speakers: Adriana Sanchez, Peter Adame, Renee Perry, Zacari Edwards, and Kelley K. Bell

Longtime friend of the Alliance Adriana Sanchez talks Industry & NGO engagement in our latest blog. "Businesses can’t afford to just react to new sustainability expectations—they need to be part of shaping them." Read on for more on how the Alliance is here to help bridge this gap. Welcome to Part IV of sharing what we learned from chatting with folks from the seafood industry last week! Here's takeaway #4: The top need for seafood companies we talked to? Staff training and capacity building. The Alliance hosts educational and capacity-building webinars! We also create guidance to help those working in the sector understand best practice, and our Global Hub is the place to be for peer learning in seafood. Plus, keep an eye out for a new resource coming later this year to help get the sustainability basics down. To learn more about becoming a member of the Alliance Global Hub (remember, membership is free!), click here: https://lnkd.in/dniKfqSS and comment below for an invitation to our SENA reception if you'd like to meet up with us in Boston next week at Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America!

Welcome to Part III of sharing what we learned from chatting with folks from the seafood industry last week! Here's takeaway #3: Seafood companies look to conferences and networking events first to stay informed on the latest developments in the responsible seafood movement. The CASS Conference is our annual, members-only gathering where we reconnect, share important updates, and have the critical conversations that propel our movement forward. This year we're meeting in Kona, Hawaii October 21-24. Learn more here! https://lnkd.in/dzXe7pFH Plus, we're meeting for networking next week in Boston at Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America--drop a comment below for an invite to our cocktail reception.

Welcome to Part II of sharing what we learned from chatting with folks from the seafood industry last week! Here's takeaway #2: The seafood companies we spoke with shared that one of their top priorities is building supplier relationships and trust. The Alliance convenes an international community of stakeholders working in the responsible seafood movement called the Global Hub, which includes seafood companies! One of our top priorities is helping our members meet new people and build relationships and trust with one another. To learn more about Global Hub membership (which is completely free) visit our website: https://lnkd.in/dniKfqSS And, if you'll be in Boston for Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America next week, comment below for an invitation to our reception to meet with us and learn what we're about!
