Our mission is to protect the land and water in Southwest Florida for the benefit of people and nature.

关于我们

We envision a future where the human and natural worlds of Southwest Florida flourish together. Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast works with you to save land, forever, preserving those special natural lands that shape our cultural heritage, make our region extraordinary, and our quality of life superb. We partner with landowners, businesses, and government to preserve the environmental excellence of our lands and waters in Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier Counties. By saving land forever, we protect wild places for kids and grown-ups, for wildlife and waterways. And we can't do it without you. Together, we protect those places that make a difference in our lives – giving us clean water to drink, protected habitat for plants and animals, beautiful natural places to enjoy, great spots to hike and fish, a world class shoreline, and a reason to live, work and play here on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

  • We are thrilled to announce the sale of 20 acres located within Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park! Though located within the boundaries of the Park, the property was privately-owned until we purchased it at a deed tax auction last December. In August, the State of Florida purchased the land from us as an addition to the Park, expanding recreation opportunities for our community and protecting local waters and wildlife for generations to come. Her leadership extends beyond our organization; she is a past chair of the Science and Environment Council, Visit Sarasota County, and the Partnership for Gulf Coast Land Conservation. Christine also serves on the board of the Crowley Museum & Nature Center, is vice chair of the Florida Alliance of Land Trusts, Secretary of Sarasota Women’s Alliance, and is a member of the national Land Trust Alliance Leadership Council, and the International Women’s Forum. Additionally, engages with a professional network of nine women CEOs of nonprofit organizations who meet monthly for mutual support.
