Today, conservation supporters showed up in force to testify in support of Senate Bill 105, the Cease the Sale bill! CFM, along with several other organizations and citizens, stood together to advocate for stopping the sale of Callery pear and other select invasive plants in Missouri. This hearing was a great first step in the legislative process, but we have more steps ahead this session to make this bill law! Thank you to our dedicated conservation advocates and legislators who are working to protect Missouri’s natural resources for future generations. To stay up to date on this bill and all the legislation CFM is tracking this session, visit our Legislative Action Center: https://lnkd.in/g7Eq3WJ3. Let’s keep the momentum going! ???? #CeaseTheSale #SB105 #HB60 #ConservationMatters

A few CLC Students had an opportunity to participate in a shooting workshop and camping trip this previous weekend. While some students had a bit of experience shooting before, this was the first time for other students ever holding a fire arm! Students met at MDC's Golden Valley Shooting Range and practice both shotgun and rifle shooting for a few hours. They camped overnight at a nearby Conservation Area, and enjoyed time around the campfire discussing conservation topics and school! A few students had such a great time that they decided to return to the shooting range the next day to get even more practice! The application for CLC is currently open! if you or someone you know is a high school sophomore through college sophomore, visit confedmo.org/clc to learn more about the program and to apply!
