Today is International Pronouns Day! It's held yearly on the third Wednesday of October. ?? Today encourages people to use their pronouns and educates the necessity of respecting and sharing pronouns. Here are several ways to commemorate International Pronouns Day. ????????Attend an event. Some schools and universities organize activities to teach students how to use pronouns to promote gender diversity. ??Organize an event. To focus on pronouns, consider hosting a workshop, event, or meet-and-greet. ??Use social media: Post a selfie with your pronouns using the hashtags #MyPronounsAre and #ShareYourPronouns. Using the proper pronouns for someone is a way to respect and validate their identity. It can also help you prevent accidentally making someone feel awkward, sad, or alienated. ?? Deloitte equalizes paid parental leave. ?? Deloitte UK, plans to equalize parental leave so that dads receive the same paternity pay as mothers do. The policy of 26 weeks of fully paid family leave for all new parents will go into effect on January 1, 2024, and will be effective from the first day. This is an increase from a previous four-week paternity leave. The Deloitte-commissioned study demonstrated the effect of unequal parental leave and inflexible work conditions on working women's career advancement. More than half of working women (54%) believe that if their partner took more parental leave, they could advance in their careers. ??
