    Thoughtful Friday consideration for your agents. ?? Managers at call centers and BPOs must keep agent goals and expectations within reach. Key words here: within reach.??? Whichever KPI you're focusing on, how are you nurturing the agent to excel with their strengths? Are you catering to performance goals that reflect the particular talents of individuals? You have a very diverse team. Therefore, not every task may be reachable for everyone, but there are some on the team. Are you setting expectations with a positive attitude of care? If you strive for your agents to succeed or obtain certain achievements, your attitude and encouragement play a huge role as a leader. Coach agents in a way that shows you value their efforts, that they're respected, and that they find new ways of keeping the team motivated.     Inbound call centers tend to give a fair balance to customer experience and employee satisfaction. The inbound environment encourages agents to focus more on the customer experience and reduces the stress of cold-calling (outbound). Inbound customer support agents nurtured properly address customer concerns promptly and may be the 'go-to' for that customer's follow-up. The support provided is personalized to not be cookie-cutter, as is often the case with many call centers, and solutions are discussed as a team for efficient results to resolve customer matters. The result if these small adjustments are measured toward growth is loyal long-term customers and employees who feel a genuine sense of accomplishment for their efforts. In summary, inbound call center support done right reaps satisfied customers with long-term loyalty and motivated employees.     Over time, your outbound call center will start costing too much. Overhead is higher and conversion lower with outbound call centers. The main reason outbound call centers struggle to break even or cut down on overhead is: - Additional training & software costs for sales agents to efficiently cold call and close sales strategies (a normal 2-week training can stretch out over a month's time) - Closing sales via cold calls is a small percentage in outbound call centers, and the software (CRMs, lead generation, etc.) gets costly. In contrast, inbound call centers tend to focus on building trust with existing sales customers for long-term loyalty. Inbound call centers are also more centered on customer service and support; inside sales are of a lesser empathic nature. As a result, overhead costs tend to be lower for training and operations with inbound call centers. You may have the outbound services you need, but if you have a need for better inbound support care, we'll always lend a caring hand!
