On this calm and peaceful Saturday I sit here reflecting over the last couple of weeks, really over the last couple of years. I am thankful, I am grateful and I feel abundantly blessed. Connect Our Elders and Senior Care Sales Solutions were merely an idea a few years ago and now very much aid me in creating the legacy I always envisioned as a child and young woman. They allow me to provide for my daughter without constant anxiety and stress. Of course it’s still a ton of work and naturally there is stress, but it feels different. It feels big. It feels right. It feels like alignment with a purpose gifted to me by God. Absolutely none of what has been accomplished the last few years has happened from my efforts alone or even from my vision alone. I have been blessed with immense support, guidance, and love from so many believers in the mission to “redefine how Senior care professionals SERVE referral partners and families. Thank you! I’m beyond grateful to be able to operate in my creativity. Many of you are not aware of what I’m about to share… When I was a teenager I was told I had a calling on my life and that calling was to be an evangelist. Upon graduating high school I was choosing between military college or Bible school. I’ve often wondered over the years if I had ignored the calling, but now I can see clearly that evangelism comes in all kinds of forms. The last few weeks have been surreal. Graduated another Senior Care Sales Solutions Academy class, presented at The Home Care Champions Experience, lots of quality time with Cali-regular time, field hockey games, soccer games, getting excited planning for our next concert together in November. I’ve witnessed growth in my coaching clients, booked the venue for the Nashville Academy through the help of a dear friend, signed new coaching clients, have received a few more conference speaking opportunities, and amazing collaborative opportunities have been being presented in my life-ones I never considered before. It’s also been a big few weeks for Connect Our Elders with 8 referrals to guide families to appropriate care resources for their loved one(s). October is going to be a hectic month with four conferences and balancing regular responsibilities which is why I believe it’s all the more important to pause this beautiful Saturday to reflect. From the depths of my being I mean this… I would not have been able to get this far without so many others. The growth and the vision is not mine alone. Thank you for being a part of the journey with me! Also, I always feel it’s important to pause so as to ensure we remain humble, to ensure that we don’t “get too big for our britches” as my parents would say. To remember where we come from and those who instilled core ethics, morals, and traits in us. Thank you Dora Day and Dad (RIP).
