关于我们
Connections Work - formerly Berks Connections/Pretrial Services (BCPS) is a nonprofit organization that provides both pretrial services and reentry programming for inmates and returning citizens, as well as services for their children and loved ones. Our reentry workforce development and housing programs equip returning citizens with the tools and support necessary to become productive members of our community. Our Family Connections programs serve to lessen the negative impact on children and families affected by parental incarceration. Additionally, Connections Work serves as the court appointed County Pretrial Services agency with services focused on interviewing and assessing defendants’ risk and providing the information to the Court, supervising defendants on pretrial release, and providing staffing and assistance to the county’s diversionary programs. Connections Work is proud to be certified by the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) through their Standards for Excellence certification program. Connections Work was one of the first organizations to be certified under the Standards program that began in 2002.

?? Training for a Safer, More Informed Community! ?? This past week, our Mental Health Diversion team had the privilege of training the Chester County Parks & Recreation Department! Two of their Rangers recently graduated from our January CIT Certification Training, and we were honored to be invited to provide additional hands-on training using our Virtual Reality Community Engagement platform to their department. Through immersive, real-life scenarios, the Rangers experienced the complexities of responding to individuals in mental health crises—situations they encounter far more often than many people realize. They were incredibly grateful for the opportunity to sharpen their skills and strengthen their response strategies. Training like this makes a real difference. By equipping our community partners with the right tools and knowledge, we’re working together to create a safer, more compassionate approach to mental health emergencies. #CrisisIntervention #MentalHealthMatters #CommunityTraining #CIT
