This November, we’re reflecting with gratitude on our clients who are making a profound difference in the world—especially our client, Suazo Business Center. Suazo Business Center is a pillar of support for Utah’s minority entrepreneurs, helping entrepreneurs from underserved backgrounds envision, launch, and scale their ventures. Connection Collaborative is honored to work with Suazo to break down the barriers that too often hold Latino and minority business owners back from achieving their dreams and making meaningful change for their families and communities. Through culturally sensitive business advising, access to capital, and tailored classes and workshops, Suazo is uplifting the dreamers who are the backbone of our vibrant communities. November is a time for gratitude, and we’re incredibly grateful to work with The Dignity Index as one of our clients. Timothy Shriver’s powerful reminder speaks to the heart of the issue: many of us are grieving, feeling isolated and uncertain. Yet, there’s a way forward. Through the Dignity Index, we’re reminded that connection and hope aren’t just possible—they’re within reach. This season, and as we wrap up election season, let’s rekindle our commitment to treating each other with the kindness and dignity we all deserve. #ClientSpotlight #Gratitude #Dignity
"The most painful grief is the loss of hope." Timothy Shriver's interview with The Christian Citizen.

I love this quote from Lynne Twist, and I remind myself of it before every conversation I have with donors and clients. "Money is like water. It can be a conduit for commitment, a currency of love. Money moving in the direction of our highest commitments nourishes our world and ourselves. What you appreciate appreciates." When you look at how money flows through you, if there is anything left after your bills, what does it show you about what you appreciate? Time with friends? Travel? Experiences? Good food? Education? When I reframed my own relationship with money to see how it can be a conduit for my commitment, it was no longer about scarcity but instead about my own values. How did you find a job that you love? What does it mean to show up to work with intention?? How do you stay motivated when the state of the world is so heavy? In our newest episode of 92,000 Hours, we reflect on our Changemakers season and the inspiring stories we heard from people who are in the trenches, doing the work to make our world a better place. This season, we learned how big change happens through small actions we commit to every day. We learned that every person has a story they’re yearning to tell. We learned that the greatest gift you can give someone is to listen to them and treat them with dignity. And we learned that we spend so much time at work, we might as well have fun with it! We hope you had as much fun as we did listening to our amazing guests this season (and listening to our host, Annalisa Holcombe, getting a little weepy. Over and over again.)
