Connecting for Children & Families is a community-based, non-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to transforming the lives of Woonsocket children through high quality educational opportunities and family support. CCF offers a wide range of family support initiatives, educational programs, and social services for inner-city children and their families that often reaches our neighboring Northern Rhode Island towns and cities. Established in 1995 as part of The Rhode Island Foundation Children’s Initiative, CCF continues to be a leader in Woonsocket on child and family issues. CCF is a membership organization, made up of parents, community leaders, service providers and business representatives, working together to make a difference in our city.

Last week, we had nearly 50 colleagues volunteer in painting a mural for Connecting for Children & Families that was designed by the amazing team Riverzedge Arts. These murals will be hung in their Front st food pantry that supports the Woonsocket Community. Designed by a Woonsocket non-profit to support a Woonsocket Non-Profit! Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a nationally recognized home-visiting program for families with children, prenatal to age 5. Certified parent educators provide families with materials, screenings, activities, and other supports to foster positive child development. ?? ?? After School Programs: We're hiring a Site Coordinator for our 21st Century Learning Center at Villa Nova Middle School! We're looking for someone who loves working with middle school students, and has experience leading a similar program and supervising a team of staff. Looking for a volunteer day and team builder all in one? Every Wednesday our Front Street Family Center receives a delivery from the Rhode Island Community Food Bank consisting of 7-9 pallets of protein, fresh produce, and non perishable items that need to be unloaded, sorted, and stocked! It's a big job and we could always use extra sets of hands. Let us know if you're interested in having your team help us out on a Wednesday morning! Shout out to some of our most recent volunteers from Navigant Credit Union, Citizens, IGT, and Santander!

Today was a great day. Katie coordinated a team community activity as part of our Citizens Corporate Affairs day of learning. One of the most requested food pantry items are spices. Today every member of our team brought a special spice to donate to Connecting for Children & Families. We each shared the story behind our special spices…. And then we had a ton of fun working with our amazingly talented social media partners (Sharifah, Kelly and Isabella)to create our latest team Tik Tok. Thanks and good job Keri, Kathy, Andrea, Christine, Allegra, Ryan, Hassan, Dan, Olivia, Melissa, Mara, Michael, Alysea, Monica, Adeleke, Christopher, Alba, Kimberly, Kolbe, Sandy, Brittany!
