??? Alexander Gizis, our CEO, and Brian Prodoehl, our CTO, discuss how to pick which type of CPU to use for servers and the benefits and downfalls of each. Main choices include Intel Corporation Xeon Gold, AMD Epyc and Arm Gravitron. ????For Speedify server CPUs we mostly use Intel Xeon Gold and AMD Epyc, thanks to their similarities in terms of architecture. Big companies like Amazon may actually prefer using Arm Gravitron for their performance per Watt. ??What type of server CPUs are you using? #technology #innovation #servers #CPU

?What happened with Netflix while streaming the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight? Alexander Gizis and Ryan Brenneman discuss about the causes of this and about Netflix' infrastructure. ??Live video is inherently challenging and hard to do, especially with the existing network infrastructure and with 120 million people tuning in to watch the fight. There are things that a video streaming service can do to optimize their infrastructure and increase their availability. ??Did you have trouble watching the fight live on Netflix? #technology #livestream #networkinfrastructure

??You ask, Alexander Gizis, our CEO, answers: does combining two SpaceX #Starlink connections provide more bandwidth? ?? In this video, we explore how the Starlink system works and how it is different than other satellites. Bonding two Starlink satellites together with Speedify does provide better performance. ??? ??The twist: due to that fraction of a second while the satellites are out when switching satellites, we also recommend having a backup connection such as an old #DSL line or even a tethered cellular connection via #PairandShare. #technology #tutorial

??Alexander Gizis and Ryan Brenneman are going over the crazy story involving the Miri Technologies Inc. X510 bonding network router powered by Speedify and two of the most popular online influencers: MrBeast and Kai Cenat. ??They had a joint #livestream for the 4th of July and they needed data connectivity that would not fail. The live stream was supported by Miri's router #PoweredbySpeedify, which successfully combined: - ??two SpaceX #Starlinks, - ??two cellular SIMs from different providers, - ??two hotspots connected over Ethernet, - ??some USB tethered phones, - ??a #PairandShare cellular tethered phone. ?This rough #testing scenario went great: the stream went perfect at 1080p and 60 fps - zero packets lost! Watch this video for all the behind the scenes #technology details.

?? This week, Alexander Gizis is talking about how SpaceX #Starlink has successfully tested T-Mobile direct to cell satellite connections with text messages (SMS). During hurricanes, 27,000 devices have already sent 250,000 messages. ??Apple is making a move on getting stakes in its iPhone #satellite partner Globalstar and also investing in further developing the infrastructure. So, if you have a recent #iPhone that uses T-Mobile, you will benefit from both Apple's and Starlink's satellites service in case of emergency. ??? ??As India is a massive untapped market for satellite Internet, local based telecoms like Jio and airtel want to have a piece of that without the fierce competition of Starlink. Will President Trump step up for #ElonMusk so that India applies the written rules and doesn't auction the satellite service?

???The US Navy is testing SpaceX's #Starlink on their ships. Watch this discussion between Alexander Gizis, our CEO, and Brian Prodoehl, our CTO, about the technical aspects involved in this implementation. ??Apart from getting Netflix, Hulu and other streaming services onboard, we're talking about the #STTNG terminal, which can connect to two satellites at the same time. For future deployments, this might even be enhanced by doing bonding with that using a secure service like Speedify. ??Another point of discussion is how the Starlink will be used and having the traffic strongly encrypted, given the classified data that might be transmitted by the Navy. Depending on the purpose and usage, #ElonMusk's satellites could also become a target and could generate a massive outage. #discussion #opinions
