Well, this will *totally* upend the fitness equipment world, especially on the retail level. Whether you know it or not, 99% of the 'reviews' you see about fitness equipment are fake affiliate marketing. Mainly bad or worse brands with subpar products, worse warranties, and no after sale service. This is a good example of government removing falsehoods and helping local businesses who actually do the right things to build clients. The FTC's ban on fake online reviews is now in effect: These 5 sketchy practices are officially considered fraud https://hubs.ly/Q02VsjMF0

We work with olympic bars from $150 to $1600. And there are huge differences in them. That being said, you really do need to maintain them, and if possible, the gym should be a dry environment. And while a lot of places just sell you a bar, especially online companies, ConnectFit is there the whole time as a partner. #gymdesign #fitness #olympic OLYMPIC BAR MAINTENANCE https://hubs.ly/Q02Ms6q90

Sales Executive | Delivering SaaS and enterprise solutions to drive growth and efficiency for my clients

In my years in sales, I’ve observed many companies focused heavily on sales training methodologies and selling tactics.?This is certainly valuable, but often overshadows the importance of empathy in sales.?Today's consumers are much savvier and don't want to feel like they're being sold to.?Buyers expect more from the brands they engage with. At my current company, MeridianLink, I've found it extremely refreshing that our leadership emphasizes training in empathy first. The idea is, if you can better understand and relate to your customers, you can support them more effectively. Customers will see that you genuinely care about their success, and in turn, they will want to find ways to do more business with you. Win-win! Recently, I had a personal experience that reinforced this belief. Those of you who know me know I am a fitness fanatic. While building my home gym, I found myself at ConnectFit, a fitness equipment supplier in Newton, MA. The owner, Norman, did an exemplary job of exercising empathy, pun intended ??. He took the time to understand my space constraints, budget, and fitness goals. Norman did such a great job understanding me that, I found myself preferring to buy from him over other suppliers who might have had better or more budget-friendly options. "Making the sale" was never Norman's objective so I felt comfortable opening up and sought to find ways to engage that was mutually beneficial. In 2014, I worked for Andy Youniss, the former CEO of Rocket Software. He, too, embraced this mindset of doing right by the customer. While he didn't frame it explicitly in terms of empathy, the message was clear. I recall him addressing the entire company with a stern statement: "You will always treat our customers well and do right by them, otherwise I will fire you!" It was a harsh way of putting it, but Andy understood the importance of the customer experience and I believe that the foundation for providing great CX starts with empathy. In an era where customers are more informed and discerning than ever, it's crucial for sales professionals to adapt. By focusing on empathy and truly understanding our customers, we can foster genuine relationships and drive meaningful success together. #Sales #CustomerExperience #EmpathyInSales #Leadership #SalesTraining #CustomerCentric

Well, About damn time. Decades too late, but about time. Fake Affiliate review sites have completely overtaken the fitness equipment world, as we've noted before. But the FTC is finally stepping in. This should completely overturn the world of Affiliate marketing, which was nothing more that legalized false advertising. I like this part. "Buying Positive or Negative Reviews: The final rule prohibits businesses from providing compensation or other incentives conditioned on the writing of consumer reviews expressing a particular sentiment, either positive or negative. It clarifies that the conditional nature of the offer of compensation or incentive may be expressly or implicitly conveyed." Having designed gyms for literally decades, and having kept many of those clients from the beginning, this rings very true. We often say, "Cardio makes you live longer, Strength Training makes you younger while you are alive". But the quality of that workout matters. This study showed that bands and bodyweight exercises don't have the same effect as an actual lifting program. But 30 minutes, 3 times a week, can do wonders. It is in line with what I see from the ground view, my builders and designers, and investors. There may be a post-pandemic subscription burn-out, and models need to move back to less subscription and smarter purchase-margin models, but there is certainly a stronger commitment to wellness across ages. This article notes it amongst earlier generations, but I think it spans the board. These young people invest in fitness. What should you spend on exercise? https://hubs.ly/Q02BwGJV0
