An all female panel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, yes of course we had one at Connected World KSA and it was very well received too. When I was asked to moderate the panel The Power of Participation and driving women's engagement in digital infrastructure with some very accomplished women from Salam, stc, and Huawei I jumped at the chance. The panel engaged in a dynamic discussion on inspiring and engaging girls and young women in STEM roles, raising their interest in emerging technology fields, and the benefits of mentorship and networking for career advancement. We explored the significant barriers women encounter in the digital infrastructure sector, strategies for overcoming these challenges, and the crucial role of governments and policymakers. Additionally, we examined the advantages of diverse management teams and the most effective methods to counter unconscious bias and foster gender equality in the digital infrastructure workforce. I can honestly say this was the panel I looked forward to and learned from the most, it was refreshing to witness such an open dialogue on this critical issue take center stage.
