Early in my career, I faced a pivotal moment. After spending a year in a role where I wasn’t operating at my best, I received the toughest performance review of my career. Instead of dwelling on it, I took action. I booked a flight to meet with my boss face-to-face, confident in my ability as a high performer. In that meeting, I advocated for myself and requested a role where I could fully leverage my strengths and skills. That experience shaped my leadership philosophy. As leaders, we have a responsibility to create environments where our team members can thrive. It’s not just about performance; it’s about recognizing potential, aligning roles with talents, and empowering individuals to succeed.
