Since March 2020, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion [ODI]?has had the privilege of helping to create and cultivate a congressional workforce that is reflective of the American people at the U.S. House of Representatives [USHR]. Since our inception, we’ve fulfilled our mandate as a non-partisan and non-legislative support office by delivering candidate services, member services, research and data analytics, professional development, and programming through the tenets of service, commitment, collaboration, integrity, and belonging as our core values. ? Over the past four years, these core values have been championed by some of the best and brightest on Capitol Hill – to include Kemba Hendrix, Jeyben Castro,?Christopher Lange Jackson,?Enumale Agada,?Niambé Tomlinson, Katrina Oshima, Diego Zambrano, Kim Stevens, Kristina Aleksander, Ednise Sainval, Rachel Dubin, Fariha Khalid, Elizabeth Mihalcea, Jeanne Schroeder, Dylan Giacobbe, Kalyn Skangos, Marina Sangit, David Zou, Ayanna Kelly, Kourtney Buckner, Deja Petty, and Eynat Amir. ? Effective March 22, 2024, ODI was dissolved as part of the?FY2024 Legislative Branch Appropriations Bill. However, while I will off-ramp soon as part of my long-planned departure, some from the team will continue in our commitment to “put the people in the people’s house” by transitioning to the newly formed Office of Talent Management within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer. Considering, while our website, mailboxes, and social media platforms will remain active until further notice, this will serve as the office’s final broadcast message and you are encouraged to follow the?USHR on LinkedIn?for further updates about the transition.????? ? On behalf of ODI, it has been an honor to serve you as our office worked to ensure that the United States Congress embodied a qualified and representative workforce that reflected the country's vast tapestry. We would like to thank the Office of the Speaker of the House, Office of the House Democratic Leader, and Committee on House Administration, as well as the entire House community for your support throughout the 116th, 117th, and 118th Congresses.????? ?
