We're proud to have once again taken the stage at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 2024 Annual Legislative Conference! In collaboration with JPMorganChase, our powerful panel, “The Future of Black Business: Equity in Procurement and Philanthropy’s Role in Driving Access,” ignited critical discussions on the inequities Black-led firms face in small business procurement. With over 120 participants from both public and private sectors, the energy in the room was electrifying, and the commitment to equity was undeniable. I had such an incredible time attending the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference last week where we discussed key issues impacting the black community. From the thought-provoking panel discussion on Overcoming Healthcare Provider Biases sponsored by Baxter International Inc. to the Phoenix Awards dinner where we got to see our very own President Biden and Vice-President Harris speak in person- what an inspiring few days!

Last week I was able to attend the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation‘s 53rd Annual Legislative Conference. Specifically, I attended the U.S. Commission on the Status of Black Men and Boys’ panel discussion on dismantling the school to prison pipeline. I was inspired by each and every panelist as they shared personal testimonies, solutions to end the over policing of BIPOC communities, and how to educate our youth on the options for what their future can look like.

Our agency appreciates opportunities to elevate the residents we serve! Members of our executive leadership team visited our nation's capitol last week to attend the 53rd Annual Legislative Conference. The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation event allowed them to dive into public policy topics with congressional leaders, engage in various panel discussions, address critical issues, and form lasting partnerships.
