Congreso's mission is to enable individuals and families in predominantly Latino neighborhoods to achieve economic self-sufficiency and wellbeing. Led by Carolina Cabrera DiGiorgio, Congreso served 17,567 unduplicated individuals in FY18, and has served more than 58,000 over the last five years. It has a $24 million consolidated budget, and more than 200 employees on its campus. In 2018 and 2015, Philly.com listed Congreso as a Top Workplace in the Philadelphia Region, based on employee survey results. In 2014, Hispanic Business Magazine selected Congreso as a Top 25 Hispanic Nonprofit in the Nation, having first made its debut on that list in 2000.

As we enter the holiday season, we reflect on the things we’re grateful for. Today, TD’s Philadelphia Region shared its gratitude for the communities and organizations it serves by preparing Thanksgiving baskets for 25 families! We shopped and packed meals that will be delivered to our partners at Congreso de Latinos Unidos. They are a non-profit organization that assists families in predominantly Latino neighborhoods achieve economic self-sufficiency and well-being. I want to thank my peers and the employees who showed up today. So thankful we are in a position to help and put a smile on 25 families’ faces this Thanksgiving Day!
