关于我们
Confidata began in 1989 as the paper shredding and confidential data destruction division of parent company Empire Recycling. The division was born in response to a long-time Empire client that had a need for confidential document destruction. Confidata started by servicing that one client and now helps hundreds across New York State stay compliant, responsible and protect their identities and those of their clients. We can shred and recycle just about anything –junk mail, personal information, tax returns, checks, files, paper, manila folders and much more! Do not worry about staples, rubber bands or paper clips - our machinery will handle those. Our state-of-the-art shredding equipment shreds all documents that go through it until information on the shred is unrecognizable. Your privacy is protected and it is our number one concern.

Holiday Wrapping Paper: Let's Do Better This Season ???? Did you know that millions of tons of wrapping paper end up in landfills each year? This holiday season, let’s rethink how we wrap gifts and make choices that are kinder to the planet. Tips for Sustainable Gift Wrapping: ?? Choose Recyclable Paper: Look for plain or kraft wrapping paper without foil or glitter, as these materials can't be recycled. Bonus: Kraft paper is also chic and customizable! ?? Recycle Properly: After the unwrapping fun, recycle any paper that doesn’t have plastic, metallic, or laminated coatings. Remove tape and decorations like bows to ensure it’s recyclable. ?? Get Creative with Alternatives: Use newspapers, maps, or old calendars for a unique and eco-friendly touch. Wrap gifts in fabric or reusable scarves, inspired by the Japanese art of Furoshiki. Repurpose brown paper shopping bags and decorate with stamps or drawings. ?? Add Natural Accents: Skip the plastic ribbons and bows. Opt for twine, dried flowers, or small sprigs of pine for biodegradable and festive flair. ?? Reusable Options: Present gifts in reusable bags, baskets, or tins that can be used long after the holidays.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month: Preventing the Next Data Breach In our last post, we talked about the serious business impacts of a data breach—financial loss, reputational damage, customer loyalty erosion, and legal penalties. But now let’s focus on prevention. ?? Proactive Defense is the Best Defense: In today’s world, it’s not a matter of if a breach will happen, but when. The key question is—how prepared is your business? ?? Risk Assessments: Conducting regular risk assessments can help you identify vulnerabilities in your systems and processes before attackers do. ???? Employee Training: 75% of data breaches are caused by human error. Providing ongoing training on cybersecurity best practices is one of the most cost-effective ways to reduce risk. ??? Partnering with Trusted Providers: Partnering with experts like Confidata ensures that all sensitive information—both physical and digital—is securely destroyed when it’s no longer needed. This significantly reduces the risk of a breach from discarded data. ?? Cybersecurity Solutions: Implementing strong encryption, secure access controls, and regularly updating software are essential steps to prevent breaches. At Confidata, we provide secure data destruction services that are a crucial part of any cybersecurity strategy. Don’t leave your business exposed—let’s keep your data safe and your business secure.
