In addition to Bryan’s position as a bed lead in our precast plant, he has stepped up tremendously to help in other areas as needed to cut daily rebar, maintain precast materials inventory, and taking care of all receiving and shipping needs. Congratulations to our February Safety Employee of the month - Ryan Daugherty. Ryan recently observed a subcontractor onsite getting ready to exit a raised scissors lift over the handrails to a second-floor work area. Ryan quickly used “Stop Work Authority”, asked the subcontractor to lower the scissors lift and reinforced the correct way to set up the scissors lift to safely exit the equipment’s door to the second-floor work area. Ryan also is a dedicated member of the Conewago Safety Committee that assists with employee advancement of safety of all Conewago sites. Thank you to ABC Keystone for hosting an insightful and valuable Economic Outlook Breakfast this morning. It was inspiring to see nearly 600 professionals from construction and related fields gathered together to network. Our Safety Employee of the Month for January is Chrissy Bream. Chrissy went above and beyond by addressing an important safety concern related to our steel department’s trailer loading practices. Recognizing the challenges of navigating narrow city streets during deliveries, she recommended avoiding the use of wide-axle trailers for these loads. Her proactive approach demonstrates her commitment to safety and efficiency. #conewagoproud #safetyfirst

This month’s Going the Extra Mile winner at Conewago is Matt Friedman. Matt is our Dispatcher and consistently goes above and beyond to meet the logistical needs of our teams. This can include coordinating everything from precast, braces, equipment, and steel loads seamlessly. With his positive attitude and proactive problem-solving approach, Matt is able to devise effective plans and follows up with our drivers and foremen to ensure everything runs smoothly. Congratulations Matt!
