?? Building the Future, One Robot at a Time! ?? Earlier this month, Conectado had the incredible opportunity to support the inaugural Pinnacle Regional Robotics Competition at Hollister High School - San Benito High School District. This event brought together over 1,000 students, mentors, and volunteers in a true celebration of STEM, innovation, and teamwork. With 42 teams across California and beyond, students showcased their problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical expertise, competing in high-energy challenges that tested their ability to design, build, and program robots under pressure. Events like these are more than just competitions—they are launchpads for the next generation of engineers, technologists, and AI leaders. At Conectado, we are committed to empowering students with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed in an AI-driven world. Seeing these young innovators in action reaffirmed the importance of investing in STEM education, hands-on learning, and career readiness. I had the incredible opportunity to speak with the latest cohort of students at Conectado Inc's Bootcamp, and I couldn’t be more inspired by the work they are doing to create access and opportunities for the next generation of professionals. Conectado's mission to empower diverse talent and bridge the gap in the tech industry is critical, and I am honored to be part of these important conversations. During our discussion, I shared my own journey of learning to advocate for myself in the workplace—how I once believed that hard work alone would lead to success, only to realize that I had to confidently communicate my value and actively seek out opportunities. We explored how to overcome imposter syndrome, build resilience in the face of setbacks, and navigate career growth with intention by fostering strong relationships, demonstrating impact, and continuously developing new skills. Most importantly, I emphasized that success isn’t about avoiding failure—it’s about learning from it and having the courage to keep moving forward. What started as a simple way to decorate my room became a project that blends my love for music and software development. A while back, I had this idea to decorate my room with album art—so I started creating posters for some of my favorite music using Canva. I’d follow a layout and manually enter the tracklist, album title, release date, etc. While I enjoyed the process, manually gathering all the details—tracklists, album titles, and release dates—took a lot of time. That’s when I had an idea: Why not automate it? I've been working on a project that uses the Spotify Web API to fetch album details and automatically generate these posters for me. Instead of manually inputting everything, my app pulls the data and lays it out in a visually appealing way for me. ?? Tech Stack: Frontend: Vue.js, Tailwind CSS Backend: Express.js API: Spotify Web API This project has been a great exercise in creative automation, combining my passions for design, music, and software development. Through my internship at Conectado Inc, where we build impactful edtech solutions, I’ve gained valuable experience in automation, branding, and user experience—all of which influenced my approach to this project. We’re proud to reflect on our recent events at Crafton Hills College and San Bernardino Valley College, which marked an important step in our partnership with the San Bernardino Community College District SBCCD). Led by Conectado Founder Guillermo Diaz Jr Diaz and Chief Creative Officer Oszie Tarula, this session brought together over 400 faculty, classified staff, and administrators to explore the transformative power of AI in education, the workforce, and beyond. During the presentation, we shared a bit of our story and history, discussed the impact of AI across sectors, and demonstrated generative AI tools to spark curiosity and inspire innovation. We also announced an exciting new initiative: SBCCD’s AI Academy, which will offer free courses to faculty, staff, and students. This aligns perfectly with SBCCD’s goals of advancing educational opportunities and Conectado’s mission to empower communities through technology and access.
