We are seeking a postdoctoral associate to join the CSHub team! This researcher will 1) conduct research on the resilience of the built environment; 2) contribute to a project focused on evaluating the resilience and sustainability of various building types under natural hazard events; 3) conduct structural performance assessments, life cycle assessments, develop resilience metrics; 4) create decision-support tools for improving the resilience and sustainability of the built environment; and 5) collaborate and interact with faculty and postdoctoral associates, research sponsors, and supervise undergraduate or graduate students. Natural hazards are expected to cost the U.S. nearly $40 billion annually by 2075. In our new op-ed in RealClearEnergy, CSHub Director Dr. Randolph Kirchain explains that inaction to strengthen our buildings and infrastructure will only make this toll climb higher and expand uninsurable areas.
