As we face geopolitical fragmentation, shifting socioeconomic developments, and immense technological advancements, it is essential to remember that direct interaction, strong collaboration, open dialogue, and spaces that include diverse voices are vital to advancing our societies. I could not be more proud of what we’ve accomplished with this year’s 14th Concordia Annual Summit. As I mentioned at the summit, those few days are part of a unique week for the world—where the majority of the world’s head of government are all within 30 blocks of one another. What we create is an incredible opportunity and the key is what you can do with their time and attention. Our annual report is out now. ?? Last week at #COP29 in Baku, iDE’s experts showcased transformative solutions for climate resilience and sustainable agriculture:? Kazi Jawoad Hossain, iDE’s Climate, Resilience & Agriculture Manager and a UN Youth Climate Action Champion, led an insightful “Improving Access to Sustainable Financing for Farmers” session at the Agri-Food Systems Summit. He also took the stage at the Resilience Hub, sharing innovative models to catalyze private sector action—highlighting the pivotal role of smallholder farmers and SMEs.? Menen Abate, Program Manager from iDE Ethiopia, joined a roundtable hosted by the Environmental Defense Fund to discuss increasing climate finance for farmers and building a sustainable agricultural future.? ?? These impactful sessions demonstrated how powering farmers through innovative finance and private-sector collaboration drives meaningful climate action.
