When I meet people new to rowing, it might be tempting to ‘break the ice’ with talk about erg scores, regatta results, or the latest equipment. However, what is truly important is sharing the message that these friendships will carry you far in life. Farther and higher than you could ever soar on your own. When crewmates work together, their individual strengths merge into a formidable, unified force. The second weekend of the 2025 World Rowing Indoor Championships, presented by Concept2, Inc., saw electrifying performances over the 2000m distance, with athletes delivering breathtaking races and pushing the limits of endurance and power. New champions emerged, records fell, and the global Indoor Rowing community came together in another showcase of the sport’s intensity and inclusivity. However, and building on the momentum of these Championships, World Rowing is embarking on a dynamic series of initiatives to further elevate Indoor and Connected Rowing globally.
