This week, I had the privilege of joining a podcast with our team in Germany, where we had a great discussion about intelligent automation and our perspective on digital transformation. This conversation got me thinking about a truth that might rattle some assumptions: Most people don’t make decisions logically. In fact, they predominantly operate from an instinctual model that absorbs hundreds of subconscious data points from their surroundings, such as sights, sounds, and smells. While we often believe that rational, data-driven decision-making guides our choices, the reality is that quick, emotional reactions dominate our landscape. This tendency can seem irrational, especially to businesses relying on structured logic and generative AI. The truth is, if your brand isn’t providing data and insights that connect with these subconscious cues, chances are, customers simply won’t choose you. As I look forward, I’m excited about the future at Concentrix, where our technology can help us craft truly personalized experiences based on customer behaviors and preferences, ensuring we deliver the quality service they deserve.

A really enjoyable and informative day at FinTech LIVE 2024. It was a pleasure to participate in the fireside chat, discussing delivering real benefits from AI adoption. We covered the CX and behavioural aspects of implementing AI, top use cases as well as the challenges. Some great audience questions too! Just a few of my takeaways from the other sessions: ?? data unsurprisingly remains a universally key focus ?? open banking has opened up many new opportunities ?? there are over 3,500 FinTechs in the UK, creating jobs, positive impacts on sustainability goals and increasing inclusivity ?? “FinTech is reimagining our lives, not just banking” ?? A2A payments is a massive growth area ?? the importance of focusing on what problem you are trying to solve, not solutions looking for problems ?? Home Alone can be used as an analogy for FinTech insurance (who knew?)
