Regional Animal Services offers no-cost pet adoptions on National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, April 30 Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) is holding a pet adoption special for one day only to celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. On Tuesday, April 30, adopters can take home a cuddly cat or delightful dog at no upfront cost. Adoption fees for all animals will be waived, and adopters will be issued a free temporary pet license good for 30 days.? The King County Pet Adoption Center, located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent, will be open for adoptions from noon to 5 p.m. on April 30 for this one-day-only adoption special. Prospective adopters can see profiles of all the pets RASKC has to offer at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.

The APA Domestic Violence Prosecution Committee gathered in Brooklyn last week for our annual advisory committee meeting. We left inspired by the innovative work, passion, and dedication of our committee members. Our sincerest thanks to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office for being such gracious and welcoming hosts!

Congratulations to Jordan and Buy Wander for winning the Grand Prize!? Thank you for members of the Innovation Collective for your $1,700 check, to Sarah White and Aspect43, Ryan Hughes of Hughes REI and Kyle Frederickson of Encircle Consulting, Andrii Mynka and MTM, and Sparrow (Jennifer) Spicer with Well-Natured Being for your prize contributions! We also had a tie with the vote from the audience - Gabriel and Luke received the Audience Favorite award! I especially want to acknowledge all my pitch competition fans! There were many past pitch competition founders in attendance along with those who continue to show their support for these events.? The list is long so give yourself a shout out in the comments below! ? A big THANK YOU to Kirsten Moore for all your work on this event. It was fun sharing the stage with you! I appreciate your support as we find the right formula for future events like these.? Please reach out if you have ideas to make these events even more valuable.? This isn’t a one person show.?
