A few weeks ago we launched ConCater - a social enterprise that uses data to help events become nature positive ?? As proof of concept, we served as the sustainability advisors for the World Vegan Day 2024 markets. Working alongside NetNada, we measured the carbon footprint of the event and designed strategies to reduce the footprint. We also sold products from local small businesses at our Sustainability Hub tent that helped raise funds for nature-positive initiatives. The funds will go towards: ?? Planting trees at Peanuts WellBeing Sanctuary Inc, which will provide shade to their animals and sequester 30% of the event's carbon emissions across the next 10 years. ?? Helping Wilderlands restore habitats in the NSW Riverina region?to protect threatened woodland bird species. ?? Helping Nature Conservation Council NSW protect the health of the Murray-Darling Basin waterways and prevent the decline of the native fish populations.
