Terrific discussion at the Global Transmission Report 8th annual offshore wind transmission US conference in NYC. I joined Ryan Brown, Vandan Divatia, Eran Inbar and Jason Schuler to discuss transmission solutions offshore and onshore. Julia Frayer asked many great questions including whether transmission facilitates or inhibits the clean energy future. This was a great panel that touched on many important issues including how building offshore wind delivery corridors is the right approach, will reduce cost for customers, reduce impact on communities and the environment, and reduce risk for future offshore wind generation developers. Thank you Global Transmission Report for hosting the 4th annual Transmission Infrastructure US conference, including a panel on OSW transmission. Always helpful to discuss the approach being taken by New York, New Jersey and New England to procure the delivery system for offshore wind. Also had the opportunity to touch on FERC Order 1920 and US Treasury proposed guidance for investment tax credits (that still needs some change to align with the business model being pursued by the states).
