Coming up on an incredible 30 years with us, Eric’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Here’s to celebrating three decades of excellence and looking forward to even more great things together! ????♂? Tell us a little about yourself! I grew up in northern Minnesota in Roseau. Home of the Rams and Polaris. I am the oldest of three I have a brother and sister. ??? What's your favorite way to spend a day off? Hanging with Wendy and the kids Katy and Hayden. Going camping, motorcycle riding, and trying new brewery and winery’s. I also fly large RC aircraft of all sorts. ? What is your favorite season and what do you like most about it? Summer as we do a lot of activities Wendy and I. ???? What is your current role, and what are your main responsibilities? I’m the Superintendent on site, where I oversee all aspects of our projects in the field. My role involves managing the day-to-day operations, coordinating with crews, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and keeping the project on track from start to finish. ? Are there any lessons you've learned in your construction journey that you'd like to share? Being open and upfront with customers. It’s most rewarding getting the positive feedback after a project. ???? Which of the core values of the company do you exemplify? Why? The core value I exemplify most is dedication. In my role as a superintendent, dedication means ensuring every project is done right, from start to finish, and that my team has the support and direction they need to succeed. I’m committed to not only meeting project goals but also upholding the high standards we’ve set at Comstock. ?? ???????????????? ?????????????????? ?? We’re excited to spotlight Cory Sullivan, who has been a valuable part of the Comstock team for a little over two years. As our Civil Superintendent, Cory brings dedication, skill, and a strong work ethic to every project he leads. His role involves managing large-scale civil projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency on site. Cory’s leadership and commitment have made a real difference in our projects and our team. We’re lucky to have him! ????♂? Tell us a little about yourself! I grew up with a family of 4. I have one sister and I’m the youngest. ?? What's your favorite way to spend a day off? Fishing ?? What is your favorite season and what do you like most about it? Spring, I enjoy the spring walleye run on the rainy river. ?? What is your current role, and what are your main responsibilities? Civil superintendent. Everything involved with running large civil projects in the field. Ultimately, it’s about making sure every part of the project stays on track and meets our high standards. ?? What's the most memorable or funny nickname you've been given by your colleagues? Sully ?? Are there specific construction projects you've worked on that stand out as favorites? Why? One project that truly stands out to me is the work we're doing in Horace on the Rivers Edge second addition. It's a large-scale mass grading project, and I've had the privilege of overseeing it from start to finish. Being in charge of such a substantial project allows me to witness the incredible transformation of the landscape, watching each phase come together through careful planning and teamwork. There's something very rewarding about seeing the progress firsthand and knowing the positive impact it will have on the community. ? Are there any lessons you've learned in your construction journey that you'd like to share? I’ve learned that success in construction isn’t as complicated as it might seem. If you listen carefully, pay attention to details, and always aim to do the right thing, you’ll be in good shape! It’s amazing how much just being consistent with those basics can make a difference—plus, it keeps the job running smoothly and safely. And, of course, a little bit of humor along the way doesn’t hurt! ??? What do you enjoy most about the company culture and work environment? What I enjoy most about Comstock is definitely the people and the supportive atmosphere. There’s a real sense of trust here—Comstock gives me the confidence and freedom to take ownership of my projects and see them through. It’s empowering to work for a company that believes in its team and encourages us to grow and succeed. Over the years, Jake has worked his way up by taking on new challenges and responsibilities with enthusiasm. Always willing to try new things, he’s a great team player who consistently contributes to the success of our projects. We're proud to have Jake as part of the team! ????♂? Tell us a little bit about your background I grew up in Lake Park and Audubon in Minnesota. They are both small towns with less than a thousand people each. ??? How would you describe yourself in three words? Goofy, loyal, and honest ?? If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why? Alaska. I’ve always had the dream of visiting and have a deep love of the mountains and forests. ?? Do you have any seasonal activities you enjoy? I recently got into grouse hunting, I do a lot of ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter, and I love to garden. ?? What do you love about working with Comstock Construction? We have a really fun and inviting group of people working here that I’ve really enjoyed getting to know over the years! ???? How has your career in construction progressed, and what key experiences have shaped your journey? I’ve been in the industry for about a decade now starting as a production framer and working my way into my current superintendent position. I stand on the backs of giants and wouldn’t be where I am today without the guidance and patience from Comstock leadership. ???? Can you share a success story or a moment that made you feel proud in your role? One of my favorite aspects of construction is the pride in my work I feel as I walk away from a project. There’s no better feeling than looking back on a finished product and being proud of my part in it! ?? Which of the core values of the company do you exemplify? I greatly value company reputation because in this industry, its EVERYTHING!!
