NYC Student, 6 months after receiving a C4P Laptop: "Receiving this computer has been a game-changer for me, especially when it comes to completing my online homework. Before, I struggled to access reliable technology, which made it difficult to keep up with assignments and participate. Now, I can easily access online learning platforms, research materials, and collaborate with classmates on group projects. It’s made staying organized and submitting assignments on time so much easier. Having this computer has helped me stay on track with my studies and feel more confident in my academic success."

AI is becoming a game-changer in digital readiness and upskilling for entrepreneurs. Initiatives like this help equip communities with the tools they need for a digital-ready future and help small businesses grow and thrive. Participants received refurbished laptops donated via Computers 4 People that will enable them to continue their learning and innovation. The lasting impact comes from collective action...strong partnerships, and community-driven efforts. We’re proud to stand alongside these great partners and can’t wait to see what they create next! On May 18th, the Centri Tech Foundation partnered with the Black upStart and Martha's Table to host the "AI for Entrepreneurs Workshop" in Washington, D.C. This in-person event brought together 33 individuals with little to no tech or entrepreneurship experience and provided them with an immersive, daylong training to learn how to leverage generative #AI and digital tools to kickstart side hustles and advance their business ventures. The AI for Entrepreneurs Workshop was made possible with funding from Verizon’s Forward Community Enhancement Award in support of the Centri Tech Foundation's new initiative #CommunitySkillsConnect.

We’re proud to recently partner with?Mission Telecom, Computers 4 People and the City of Boston?in their efforts to bridge the digital divide.?Our teammates helped?make a difference in their local community by providing hotspots with a year of internet to underserved residents. They saw firsthand how connectivity creates new opportunities like: ? A parent balancing work and school, now able to complete online courses while helping their child with their own homework. ? A young professional searching for a job, now with the tools to apply for opportunities and build new skills.? ? A senior citizen who once felt isolated, now scheduling medical appointments, staying informed and reconnecting with loved ones. These are more than just devices—they’re tools to advance access to education and create safer communities. Thanks to all of our teammates who helped make this a success! #ConnectedbyGood
