We are very much looking forward to sharing our November Employee Spotlight of the month! Randi Barton has been a wonderful addition to the CMC team. She is passionate about our mission and works hard to ensure we can overcome the hurdles that come between participants receiving important care. She clearly understands the complexities of our program and her attention to detail and time management has quickly made Randi an invaluable member of the CMC team. Randi is not only highly skilled and professional, but a joy to work with in the office. We are so thankful Randi has joined our team. Q: How long have you been with CMC? A: I have been with CMC for 4 months. Q: What is your role? A: I am an administrative coordinator for the LA and San Bernardino area. Q: Why do you like working at CMC? A: I like working at CMC because the team is very supportive although we all work in our little worlds, everyone is happy to help! I also like knowing my job is important and every day I am helping someone live life easier. Q: Tell us about a specific time you felt you were "doing great things." A: I think the gravity of how important my job is happened during my first few weeks. I learned about what would happen if a visit was missed. All the participants would think they were getting care that day but wouldn’t receive it. It takes a lot of energy for our participants to make these appointments, and some are expecting to have dentures started, for example, so they would be able to eat properly, and they would feel letdown if the visit didn’t occur. That really made me realize how important my job is and that I am doing great things. Q: Tell us about how your role helps facilities to get care for their residents and participants. A: In my roll, I support the facilities' schedulers and center directors by keeping track of glasses, dentures, diabetic shoes, and hearing aids. I can update the facility and communicate when to schedule participants to receive these items. I streamline communication between the facility and the providers to make sure we have enough visits for the participants to be seen and make sure the facilities have the charts they need. Q: How does your role help providers? A: In my roll, I help providers by coordinating visits, keeping their schedules clear and up to date and serve as the bridge between them and the facility. We make sure they have the equipment that is needed, that they have an assistant, and that they have the previous charts for the participants ensuring all participants' visits goes as smoothly as possible. Q: What's one interesting fact about yourself most people don't know? A: I have a 501 C3 rescue / sanctuary that is home to Dogs, pigs, goats, Chickens, ducks, bunnies, and a tortoise named tank.
