    CEO @ Compound | Co-founder @ Bluecast | Building a social media agency for B2B companies

I've helped over 30 SaaS founders launch and scale a profitable content engine on Linkedin. If I had to start a new one from scratch...here's exactly how I'd do it. But first. Why LinkedIn? - B2B buyers are on here (all the time) - They're in a mental state to consume business content here - There's *still* a content drought on the platform (1% of users posts) Founder-led content is the way I'd recommend getting in front of more customers as an early-stage startup. I've been able to build my agency off of it. I've been able to launch my SaaS (Bluecast) with it. I've seen it work over and over and over again for founders across categories. Problem is, most founders either: (1) Don't know what to post (2) Are too scared to put themselves out there This video will help change that. PS: The full video is on YT (LinkedIn still has this weird 15min video cut off)

The entire Compound Content Studio team dressed as “me” for Halloween on the All Hands yesterday ?? 10/10 costumes if I do say so myself. PS: It's still crazy to see 10+ tiles on the G-Meet. Have come a long way from when it was just me starting out 1.5 years ago. We are still looking for more writers!

I’m extremely bullish on LinkedIn, YouTube, and email as the core marketing channels for a B2B business in 2024. Continually reminded that I just need to go harder and hard on a few channels. With these 3 alone I’ve been able to keep Compound Content Studio growing and get Bluecast a ton of initial momentum. If I was starting from *zero* — I’d build here on LinkedIn first. You? B2B founders. Here's a low-lift way to get more out of LinkedIn. Set up your "Featured" links in your bio. Ideally, you want this to point to the next step in your buyer's journey. For example, if you're a SaaS founder, have your featured link go to something like: - Your home page - Book a demo page - One of your best case studies - A specific lead magnet or newsletter Pro-tip: put some thought into the preview image. You want it to help you drive the click. Think about this like a YouTuber thinks about their thumbnails. Make sense? PS: Follow us here for more on how to execute founder-led content.

Founder content is a cheat code. I don’t think founders grasp this until their in it. To the outsider, content looks like a distraction. A pet project. But once you're on the inside, you see the light. Leads materialize damn near out of thin air. Your business becomes supply-constrained instead of demand-constrained (welcome to my life over the past 1.5 years). You can get in any room you want to in your niche. Before becoming a founder, posting content online landed me a dream role, right out of college. Now, as a founder, I have a steady stream of waitlist sign-ups for the agency and a flow of new users for my SaaS, Bluecast. And no, you don’t need to be ‘famous.’ You just need to own your corner of the internet. Do you think people stop me in the street because I’m a ‘SaaS content expert?’ Lmao. There's one catch, though. You're not going to be successful with founder-led content unless you're actively excited about the idea of publishing content. This is true whether you do it yourself or work with a team. I won't stop writing. Ever. I just enjoy it. But if I, or anyone on your marketing team, has to bend over backward to get you to approve content that's been written *for* you...you've lost from Day 1. Will you see the light? We're hiring for a Content Editor at Compound! This role is unique because we believe in making both writers and editors client-facing. A lot of agencies keep content writers and editors hidden away from the client, which we think leads to worse content. Instead, we like for our Content Editor to be client-facing. And one part of that is leading Content Interviews, which is where we gather most of the source material we use for client content. This approach allows our editors to deeply understand client needs, resulting in more authentic (and better-performing) content. So...we're looking for candidates who can navigate both the technical aspects of editing and the interpersonal skills required for client interactions. More in today's video. Highly recommend watching this before applying for the Content Editor role (found on our Jobs page!)
