Meet our Head of Economic Modeling and Chief Scientific Officer at CHEORS, Dr. John Cook! John has been with CHEORS for 8 years after serving as head of the Health Economic Statistics Department for 16 of his 27-year career at Merck. John holds a PhD from North Carolina State University in Statistics and two master’s degrees in Sociology and Statistics from Iowa State University. John’s 35 years of expertise is critical to our economic modeling team at CHEORS. He heads, directs, and guides teams in the development of health economic models and in leveraging clinical trial data for health economic purposes. Dr. Cook has 50+ publications in health economics and statistics and has taught short courses on conducting economic evaluations at several venues.
