Congrats to one of our former patients--BLAKE! Earlier this year, Blake was here rehabbing a calf injury and trying to return to running, with the goal of competing in this race. As this week's "Peak of the Week", we are celebrating Blake's successful 11h:55m finish in the Lake Placid Ironman! Blake reached out to his treating PT, Mike, with a note of thanks after the race. Last week, we had a great time at Berna's Great Legs 5K for Women. I'm honored that we were able to sponsor this race again and saw a lot of familiar faces. The race was a big success and 100% of net proceeds are donated to the House of Hope in Lowell, MA. ??New Program Announcement!?? Every August we get a flood of phone calls from athletes trying to take care of aches and pains a week or two before the season starts. We always do our best to get our patients back on the field, court, or course ASAP, but sometimes a few weeks isn't enough time and these players often end up missing the beginning of the season. We're now offering our Return to Sport Program for those who don't necessarily need formal physical therapy, but may just need a "tune up" before the season starts. This program is EXCELLENT for all athletes including those: -discharged from formal physical therapy who don't yet feel 100% ready to return to their sport. -looking to work on general flexibility, stability, and neuromuscular control. -seeking an individualized warm-up and exercise program to help reduce the risk of injury and improve performance. - wanting to supplement and maximize their current strength and conditioning program. Your assessment will include a 3D motion analysis that allows us to identify deficits in your movement quality that cannot be seen with the naked eye which we use to develop your own individualized program. Our movement specialists guide you through your program during follow up sessions to ensure your exercises are performed properly and progressed appropriately.
