?? SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY ?? ???? Meet Linda. Linda has been a #BSN at Complete Care at Middlebury since 2022. Outside of her shifts, she teaches at Waterbury Public Schools Career Academy, where she serves as the Department Chair for Career and Technical Education and is the Lead CNA Instructor. This program is a registered training initiative with the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut State Department of Education, preparing students for the prometric exam. It adheres to all guidelines, including 100 clinical hours and 120 hours of classroom instruction. Their most recent completion rate was an impressive 99%. Linda is an integral part of this success and consistently refers CNAs to us. She is proud to be part of our team, too! ?? Thank you for being #CompletelyIn, Linda! Celebrating One Year of Complete Care at Middlebury. Yesterday, we joyfully commemorated the one-year anniversary of Complete Care at Middlebury with a beautiful celebration. It was a day filled with laughter, love, and meaningful moments, highlighting the wonderful community we’ve built together over the past year. ?? One of the most touching parts of the celebration was our butterfly release. Each butterfly represented hope, transformation, and the new beginnings we’ve experienced as a facility. Residents, staff, and families gathered to watch as the butterflies took flight, symbolizing our commitment to nurturing growth and connection in our community. ?? **Celebrating 70 Years of Love: Joseph & Alice** ?? We gather to honor a remarkable milestone: the 70th wedding anniversary of Joseph and Alice, who both reside at Complete Care at Middlebury. Their love story began when Joe returned from the Korean War and took a job at the local A&P grocery store, where he first laid eyes on Alice. Little did they know that this meeting would mark the beginning of a beautiful journey together. After their time at A&P, they both joined Peter and Paul Candy Company in Naugatuck, where their “sweet” life truly began. Over the years, they have built a wonderful family, raising four children, and are now blessed with eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. When asked for advice for young, married couples, Alice wisely said, “Patience, lots and lots of patience, and working together.” Joe added, “There’s no secret to it; every couple is different. Don’t try to be like everyone else. Sometimes there are good days, sometimes there are bad days.” Here’s to Joseph and Alice—may their love continue to inspire us all for many more years to come! ???? Peter Knights, Alexa Graves
