It is a topic that is not going away. With the demand for power increasing due to electrification and the rapid growth of super-users, like data centers, how can we maintain a reliable grid? CEO Sherman Knight joined leaders from around the industry at Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA)’s Competitive Power Summit to break down what it will take to meet the demand. To start...new generation. “One of the key things that we constantly think about is speed to market. How can we get more infrastructure on quicker, because that is going to be absolutely critical, and where are those pinch points in terms of developing new generation," said Sherman Knight during the Delivering Solutions panel. Speed to market while making sound investment decisions to ensure those projects last for the next 30 years. Of course, “infrastructure investments do not always pan out, but restructured markets shield utility customers from poor investments,” explained Sherman. Highlighting successful incentive programs and approaches to help drive projects forward were also among the solutions tossed out, along with the hurdles and reforms we still need to see. With CPV’s 10GW pipeline of low carbon and renewable generation projects, we are ready to answer the market needs just as we have for the last 25 years. Thank you to Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA) for having us and our fellow panelists for the discussion.
