? At first, we thought about rescheduling this, but we took time this morning for myself to reflect. And though I'm tired, exhausted, and overwhelmed, I couldn't let it stop the work. As Dr. Fanta Aw said this morning, "the work continues," especially in times like these when there are forces that seek to paralyze us, silence our voices, and keep us from thinking, dreaming, and disrupting. Take care of yourself, but we also owe it to ourselves and each other to show up, to speak truth, to rest, and to resist. When the world tries to dull our spirit, we will gather and become even more resolute. This space, this conversation, is a testament to our resilience and our refusal to be quieted. Let’s move together with courage and purpose. ?? I recognize that post-election conversations can feel overwhelming—especially when we’re already carrying so much. That’s why this evening’s gathering, from 5 PM - 6 PM ET, is designed to be a space where you can come as you are. Whether you feel ready to engage deeply, or you simply need a place to listen, reflect, and breathe, you are welcome here. Guided by the thoughtful leadership of CJ Tremblay and many others, this isn’t about adding more to our plates but about finding ways to transform exhaustion into strength and action into meaningful change, if you're ready. ?? If you’re feeling heavy or uncertain, you’re not alone. This session offers room for honest reflection and community support in light of the current state of global education and society. I hope you’ll join us—whatever your capacity, however you feel if you can—because even in moments of overwhelm, connection and understanding can pave the way forward. ?? This is a special Post-Election Reflection session, part of the Pre-Summit: Global Respectful Disruption Mini Summit, exploring themes from Rest Is Resistance: A Manifesto by Tricia Hersey. It's free and open to the public. ?? Join us here: https://lnkd.in/gy87R56x Chris Thompson (SHE/HER/HERS) w/ GoAbroad
