Each year, Compass experiences an increase in wound, UTI and STI during the warmer Spring and Summer months. This is due to 2 main factors: there is a large increase in outdoor activities during these timeframes and people are more likely to get injured performing activities such as outdoor sports, biking, hiking, camping and more. ?Also, bacteria thrive in warmer temperatures and increased moisture (boating, swimming, and increased perspiration), again associated with Spring and Summer months.
