Senior Colorist Stephen Nakamura shares insights on the film's grading process, "The filmmakers were very meticulous about the look. We did a lot of work in post to fine-tune the look of the live action and refine the little details in VFX shots. All the things you'd expect in this kind of movie, but we also spent a great deal of time building a subtle 'filmic' look over everything. This isn't just about adding grain; we also added several complex textures and even a tiny bit of 'projector weave' to introduce an analog, traditional feel, which I think plays very well against the highly sophisticated VFX in the movie." ?
